About

Welcome to FinanceWise. This site exists for one reason: to help ordinary investors make better financial decisions by starting from evidence instead of noise.

Who writes FinanceWise

FinanceWise is written and edited by Wongbi Ha, a full-time investor. Before investing full time, Wongbi built a career across data analytics, project management, and corporate strategy planning—roles that share a common thread: turning messy information into decisions people can actually act on. That same discipline shapes everything published here.

His approach is deliberately unglamorous. He does not chase hot tips, predict next week’s price, or promise shortcuts to wealth. Instead, he looks at what the data and long-term evidence actually support, and explains it in plain language—including the parts that are inconvenient or counterintuitive.

What you’ll find here

FinanceWise covers investing, personal finance, insurance, and the market and economic trends that affect your money. Whether the topic is how to read a company’s numbers, whether to invest a lump sum all at once, or how tax-advantaged accounts really work, the goal is the same: give you the reasoning, not just a conclusion, so you can decide for yourself.

Our editorial standards

Every article is written to inform, not to sell. FinanceWise does not publish paid promotions of specific stocks or securities, and it does not provide personalized investment advice. Claims are grounded in data and reputable sources, and where the evidence is uncertain, we say so.

A note on advice
